Follow A625 southwards to Calver (about 12 miles). Turn right at the lights onto A623 for half a mile through Stoney Middleton, and ¾ of a mile beyond the village turn right up the steep hill into Eyam. Pass the Church and Eyam Hall and turn right up Hawkhill Road

Follow A6 north through Matlock and on to Bakewell. In the town centre turn right on A619 for ¾ of a mile, then left on B6001. Continue for 3½ miles to Calver. Turn left at the lights onto A623 for half a mile through Stoney Middleton, and ¾ of a mile beyond the village turn right up the steep hill into Eyam. Pass the Church and Eyam Hall and turn right up Hawkhill Road

From Manchester


Leave at Junction 29. Follow A617 to Chesterfield, then A619 (signposted Chapel-en-le-Frith) for 8½ miles to Baslow. Take A623 to Calver. Ahead at the lights for half a mile through Stoney Middleton and ¾ of a mile beyond the village turn right up the steep hill into Eyam. Pass the Church and Eyam Hall and turn right up Hawkhill Road.

Follow A6 southwards through Stockport, Hazel Grove, Disley for nearly 20 miles. Shortly beyond the Chapel-en-le-Frith by-pass (dual carriageway) turn left onto the A623. Follow A623 through Sparrowpit and Peak Forest for 9 miles. The road descends into the wooded Stoney Middleton Dale. Turn left up the steep hill into Eyam. Pass the Church and Eyam Hall and turn right up Hawkhill Road.

The B6521 between Grindleford and Eyam has a weight limit of 7.5 tons.

On reaching the village, pass the Church and Eyam Hall, and turn right into Hawkhill Road.

There is a free car park above and behind the pay-and-display car park, opposite Eyam Museum. Donations are welcome!
